Comfort Inn & Suites Grinnell Near I-80

During our stay, Larry's front desk assistance stood out as a nice highlight, and we enjoyed the surprisingly comfortable bed despite the hotel's overall condition.

Overall the service was great. Liked the room with sleeper sofa and kitchenette, my bed was very comfy. The staff was efficient plus the location was particularly good.

Coffee pot was full of mold and burner was filthy, when front desk was told she said she would get it taken care of, when we returned later, beds were made, coffee pot was never touched, still full of mold just like we left it.

The town is pretty small so you are not far from downtown, probably just about a mile and a half. AC worked great and staff was friendly.

The wifi was almost unusable in the evening. It slowed down quite a bit. Housekeeping skipped over our room on Saturday.

The pool area was uncomfortably hot.

The second room was good and comfortable.

In the first room, dental foss on the floor in the bathroom (unsanitary).

Everything was simply nice. Truly enjoyed my VERY VERY GOOD stay on our next Grinnell visit. I was happy, the king room I booked came with refrigerator, sleeper sofa.

The room was spacious and tidy, with soft bedding that helped us sleep well. The breakfast was excellent, with options that surpassed typical hotel fare. The staff provided excellent dinner recommendations and were always friendly.

Light bar over the sink needs to be replaced with something brighter.

The comfort of the beds in the Queen Room was excellent, ensuring a restful night's sleep after long days of travel. I also appreciated the spacious design, made it easy to navigate with my luggage.

Better housekeeping during longer stays would be appreciated.

The Queen Room was impressively clean and nicely decorated. The attentive staff ensured the breakfast area was well-stocked and fresh, with particularly good waffles that stood out during my mornings. The heating system was quite noisy, difficult to maintain a comfortable temperature at times. The pool area felt a bit too hot.
